The Akron Latin Festival returns with food, activities, live music.

The weather will be autumn perfect. The food will be in abundance as Akron readies for its annual Akron Latin Festival.

AKRON, Ohio – From Cleveland.Com, Megan Becka reports the 5th annual Akron Latin Festival will return to Lock 3 on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 2-9 p.m.

This year, the festival has been renamed Raíces, Ritmos & Recuerdos (Roots, Rhythms & Memories) to better capture the spirit of the organization, according to event organizers. Festival highlights include more than 20 food and retail vendors representing many Latin American cultures at Lock 3’s Maynard Performance Pavilion.

Musical acts include:

  • Grupo Fuego
  • Herencia Nortena
  • DJ LOLO Knows
  • Conjunto Guarachando

Additional entertainment includes performances from NEO Pro Wrestling, Pick-Up Stix stilt walkers, magician Bill Bishop, hourly pinatas, face painting and balloon art.
