Recognizing And Integrating Culture Education and Service
Additionally, in Spanish, “raíces” means “roots”.
Proyecto RAICES is an organization serving Latinx/Hispanic children and families of Summit County, Ohio, with culturally and linguistically relevant programming designed to boost academic performance, preserve and celebrate cultural roots, and promote the physical, social and emotional wellbeing of children.
Our Saturday program is held every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month, from August to June, online.

Isabel Rodriguez
Mental Health Navigator
My name is Isabel Rodriguez, and I am a bilingual community leader whose life and career have been rooted in service to families and historically underserved communities. I am a proud mom of two children, ages 11 and 12, and a devoted pet parent to our beloved therapy dog, Bella. Through my work in housing, community development, education, advocacy, and nonprofit leadership, I have spent years supporting individuals and families as they navigate complex systems, life transitions, and moments of hardship. Over time, this work has deepened my understanding of how closely mental health is tied to overall wellbeing, shaping a personal passion for reducing stigma, building trust, and helping connect people to supportive resources that promote stability, dignity, and healing. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, visiting museums, and exploring local coffee shops, which help keep me grounded and inspired both personally and professionally.
