2027 Community Impact Award Nomination

The Proyecto Raíces Award recognizes individuals whose accomplishments, leadership, service, or other contributions have made a meaningful and positive impact on the Hispanic/Latino community in Greater Akron. Nominees may come from any profession. Individuals, organizations, businesses, and community partners may all submit nominations. Self-nominations are accepted.

Please confirm the nominee meets every requirement below.

Eligibility The nominee identifies as Hispanic/Latino. The nominee has made meaningful contributions to the Hispanic/Latino community in Greater Akron. The nominee is at least 18 years of age. The nominee is not a current Proyecto Raíces employee or sitting Board member.

The Awards Selection Committee scores every nomination on the three criteria below. Please answer each question with specific examples, dates, and results where possible (suggested length: 150–300 words each).

Describe the nominee's ongoing commitment to serving the community, including how long they have been involved, and their notable accomplishments, projects, honors, or contributions, professional or volunteer.
